Switch your emotions on and live a healthier life

How much easier is it to just shut off your emotions completely. You do not have to think about anything and you can just go through life without severe problems. Or is this an illusion?

Is it really true that by switching off your emotions, it will never have any effect on your life? I can tell you right now this is not the case. The emotions that you are ignoring will be stored somewhere in your body without even knowing it. So let’s break down in this article on how to switch your emotions on a live a healthier life.

1. Why are you shutting down your emotions? Create awareness

This is a very sensitive topic for many people, can I say especially for men? Luckily I am a writer without public and I can say it out loud. I think it is very important for both men and women to embrace their feelings.

Emotions are not something to be ashamed off. Feeling and emotions connect us to the people around us and it makes them understand you better. If you go to work with a bad mood without explaining what happened to you, people might not be as understanding. Opening up about yourself to a certain extend will attract more people in your life, and most importantly, lasting ones.

Recognize yourself

So what do you do now? Start with the awareness of why you are not comfortable with your feelings. Do you not want to face yourself? Is there something you do not like when you are opening that personal book of emotions? How do you truly feel about yourself?

Didn’t you hear start with loving yourself, well now I am giving you the ugly truth. Loving yourself starts with the uncomfortable, the ugly, the unseen and recognizing blockage of your true essence. Don’t you want to love yourself like God / the universe always will love you with no judgment? It is time to go to step two where we continue to switch your emotions on.

2. What are you so afraid of?

Are you afraid to get to know yourself, or do you not want to show yourself to others, because you are afraid that people might not like you.
What I am going to say is not what you want to hear, but I will say it anyways!

People will always judge and comment on who you are and what you are doing. But thinking about that, is that not their own lack of loving themselves equally and wishing they would have found themselves like you do.

Shouldn’t we just love them and trust they will find their way one day too? We started from the bottom, and we took our own time, why not let others do the same. Very important is, stick to your own truth, your own believes and do not try to convince others, but rather be who you are and the people that find you interesting will be drawn to you anyways.

You attract what you are! So do not be afraid that you are failing, if you are not happy where you are now, how can you fail getting to a different place that might seem unknown now, but will reveal much more to you than you ever could imagine.

3. Creativity creates flow, flow creates release

If you are still afraid to express your emotions and true feelings to yourself and others, start with some creativity. What do you love doing in your spare time? Do you like painting, writing or dancing.

Any form of expression is an emotion, so why not that this road first. Write a letter to yourself with how you feel. Release what has been on your mind for a long time, and open up feelings that you did not know where even stuck.

Use creativity to understand yourself better and when you are super duper ready, why not show your work to others, and ask what they think of it. Do you think I started writing in the public right away? It takes some courage to show your work out there, but the closer you are to your true self, the lesser you can deny what you really.

The less it matters if people believe in you because you believe in yourself and that is all that matters. We came here alone and we go alone, why miss out what we truly love for others, unless it is killing people but that’s another story.

4. Recognize your feelings and speak up

Now it is time for some real changes in your life, you talk to the people you love about how you feel, the good and the bad. Do not be angry, but say how you feel so others understand what is going on. A lot of times when we are in a fight we do not communicate properly on how we actually feel and then we create miscommunications and more stress.

Be honest with yourself and others and be vulnerable, because when you are you found your true strength. You are no longer afraid of being yourself and you can switch your emotions on.

Honesty is important and by not being honest with yourself, you can’t be honest with others. Why not say it and see how the reaction is, it can be such a relief. Sometimes we blame ourselves for feeling a certain way, but really can you blame yourself for something that is just there.

We are not doubting a tree or why the sky is blue, it is just there. We can change it temporarily, but the essence stays the same.

5. A healthy body and mind

Did you know that your body is connected to your mind. Often we think that diseases and ailments come from the outside, but how is that possible when body and mind are connected. They live in the same space so why would the outside affect it, unless you allow it to do so.

Often the pains that you have in your body are related to your emotions and blockages. There are plenty of books and websites that explain the ailment and pain with the emotion. I am no doctor and severe diseases might have very different explanations (as there is always the inevitable), but to a certain degree you have some control.

Our mind and heart controls our body and when you are doing what you love, speaking with love and acting in the name of love your body will be more vital and healthy at any age.

Together with some self-time and rest time, healthy food and good sleep you are being in a healthy pattern. The unforeseen is always there but why not treat your body like the temple it is.

Destroying it by ignoring your feelings, healthy food or good exercise is saying that you do not appreciate your precious body. Take care of it and love it every single day! You deserve to be loved and treat yourself, the way you want others to treat you.

Start with recognizing your emotions as it is so important to your energy levels and your life purpose. Denying your own existence and your feelings will prevent you from the steps closer to happiness you so much crave for.

Be who you are, do not pretend to be anyone else. You are created as a necessary to this planet as you are. We should not be all the same as that will create an unbalanced planet. All our talents are needed to give our little support of love.
